Privacy notice

Last updated October 7, 2026. This describes what this website collects about you, what it does with it, and what it deliberately does not keep. If we change it in a way that affects what you agreed to, we ask you again rather than carrying your old answer forward.

Cookies

You can search and view homes without an account. Analytics is off until you say so, declining it costs you nothing — the site works the same — and you can change your mind at any time using the control in the footer of every page.

Essential — always on, cannot be turned off
Two cookies. One keeps you signed in. The other remembers the choices you made here, so we do not have to ask again. Neither is used to build a picture of you, and there is no third party involved in either.
Analytics — optional
The homes you view and the searches you run while browsing without being signed in, and how the site is used (such as moving around the map). If you later create an account, this history is linked to it.

On vectoridx.com

Vector’s own website, vectoridx.com, counts visits without cookies and stores nothing in your browser, which is why it doesn’t ask about cookies. For each page shown it keeps the page, the site you came from (its name, not the full address), any campaign tags in the link you followed, your country and state, whether you’re on a phone, tablet or computer, and your browser’s name. In place of who you are it keeps a code made from your network address and browser that changes every day, so a visit counts once a day and can’t be connected to another day or back to you. Your address itself is not kept.

If you ask for early access, we keep what you send us, with where you came from, so we can follow up. Email contact@vectoridx.com and we’ll delete it.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we record it and treat it as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising. We do neither today, so the signal changes nothing we collect now; it is honoured from the start in case that ever changes. It does not change your cookie choices or what your agent sees while you’re signed in.

Email and texts

Email. When you create an account you’ll receive emails about your account, your saved searches, new listings, and messages from your agent. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops that kind of email for good, even if you sign in or sign up again, and never stops the emails that sign you in or keep your account working. Saved-search alerts can also be turned on and off in your account. Links in marketing emails pass through our email provider so we can see which were clicked; we do not track whether an email was opened.

Text messages — optional. Only if you give a mobile number and tick the box agreeing to texts. It is never required to create an account or to buy anything. Message and data rates may apply, and frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help. A STOP stops texts only; it does not change your email.

What you tell us

When you create an account: your first and last name and your email address, and your mobile number if you choose to add it for texts.

When you ask about a home or request a showing: your name, the email address or phone number you give, and your message. These go to the agent whose site this is, who may reply by email, phone or text about your request.

When you talk to the agent: emails, texts and calls between you and the agent are kept in the agent’s records so they can pick up where you left off. Calls may be recorded and transcribed; you will hear an announcement before a recorded call begins.

When you have an account

When you’re signed in, your agent can see the homes you view, save and search for, so they can better help with your search. This is part of having an account: it is recorded while you’re signed in, whatever your cookie choices, and the sign-up and sign-in forms say so beside their buttons. Signing in does not change your cookie choices: they cover what is recorded while you browse without being signed in.

What is recorded about a home you looked at

A record that you looked at something, and a random identifier standing in for which one. The listing’s address, price, MLS number, and description are not copied into that record — they stay in the listing database, and the identifier is resolved against it when the page is drawn.

The practical effect: the history of what you have browsed cannot be read as a list of addresses, and if a listing is later withdrawn, what you saved simply stops resolving rather than preserving a copy of a home that is no longer ours to show.

Who sees your information

Your IP address is not stored against your activity. As with any website, the services that deliver pages, map images and listing photos see your IP address when your browser contacts them.

This site does not currently use advertising networks or advertising pixels. If that changes, we will update this notice first, and your activity will not be used for advertising unless you have agreed to it.

We do not sell your information. It goes to the real estate agent or brokerage whose site this is, and to the vendors that run it on our behalf, who may use it only to provide their service: website hosting, the database, the services that deliver email, texts and phone calls, map images, error reporting, and the listing service’s own photo server, which your browser loads photos from directly.

Mobile numbers and text-message consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Signing in

Signing in uses a one-time link sent to your email address rather than a password. The link works once and expires. We store your email address and a one-way hash of the link, never the link itself.

Where you see Continue with Google, you can sign in with your Google account instead. Google tells us your email address and that it has verified it, your name, and the link to your Google profile photo, and nothing else: not your password, your contacts or your mail. We use the address to find or create your account, exactly as an emailed link would. We keep your name if you have not given us one already, and keep the photo link, refreshing it each time you sign in with Google. The agent you are working with sees your name and photo beside your account. Both are deleted with your account.

Homes you hide

If you hide a home from your searches, we keep a note of which home and when, so it stays out of your results. Only you see that list, under your account, and you can show any of those homes again. It is not shared with the agent or used to rank you as a buyer.

Listing data

Homes shown here come from the Multiple Listing Service that covers the area, under a licence that governs how long we may display them and when we must stop. When a listing leaves that licence, it leaves this site, including from anything you have saved. That is a condition of being allowed to show it at all, not a choice we make about your account.

How long things are kept

Sign-in sessions expire on their own. Saved homes and saved searches last until you delete them or close your account, which you can do yourself under Settings in your account. Your contact details and your conversations with the agent are kept in the agent’s records until you ask for them to be deleted, unless the law requires the agent to keep them longer. Records of your consent choices are kept as long as we might need to show what you agreed to and when — that is their entire purpose, and deleting them would destroy the evidence that we asked you properly.

Your rights

Texas residents have the right, under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, to confirm whether we process your personal data and get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain it in a portable form, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and profiling with legal or similarly significant effects. Residents of other states have comparable rights under their own laws, and we do not ask where you live before honouring a request.

Email contact@vectoridx.com to make a request. If we decline one, you may appeal by replying to that decision; we will respond in writing with our reasoning, and if we deny the appeal we will tell you how to complain to the Texas Attorney General.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
